I "just happened" to drop by the library during lunch after I finished the previous book in this series. I honestly don't think I realized why I absolutely HAD to go to the library until I was there. I had to pick up Magic Study - the sequel to Poison Study. Now, this sequel does some things right...although it is dissappointingly not as good as the first book. However, remember how I mentioned the good side characters? This one has even BETTER side characters! I mean...they ROCK! This book takes you a lot more into a culture - which makes sense, as the character is a "fish out of water", when she wasn't nearly so much so in the first book. She grows as a woman, as a magician, and as a person. All in all, a good second book, and I really look forward to the next. Just a note. While I really enjoyed this book, it does deserve it's place in the adult science fiction titles section - and is not recommended for younger audiences, no matter how over-intelligent or high their reading level.
