This book is a heart breaker. It's not perfect, and the puffed-up narrator annoyed me to a certain extent, but the mom, Beli? Oh my goodness. Another book that re-affirms the idea that it all comes back to your mama! One of my favorite lines of the story, "You ven aca, Beli muttered under her breath. You." I know that doesn't seem to mean anything, but it lies at the heart of Beli's personality. It's all about love, dreams, and the ultimate push/pull of life. It's not perfect, but I really liked it. Maybe my review can't be coherent yet because I just finished it late last night.
